The maintenance of multi-stage pump is a complex and important work, which needs to be carried out in strict accordance with the operating procedures. Only through correct maintenance and repair can the normal operation of the pump be guaranteed and the service life of the equipment be extended. Before the maintenance of the multi-stage pump, it is necessary to ensure that the equipment has stopped running and disconnect the power supply. If there is any problem, the damaged parts should be repaired or replaced in time.

Method of water diversion by multistage pump irrigation
Multi-stage pump can store a part of the water, start again do not need to fill water. As for the suction stroke, it should be related to the NPSH of the respective pump. The self-priming process relies on the multi-stage pump to form a vacuum after the water in the multi-stage pump is pressed out to suck the water into the pump. Therefore, except for the pump with the impeller immersed in water, the commonly used multi-stage pump products must fill the pump with water before starting the pump, commonly known as the filling pump. Due to the relatively large inlet position of the pump body, the multi-stage pump is provided with a check valve at the upper inlet before the first use.
In the pump industry, "water diversion" refers specifically to "water for guidance". Because some pumps must be filled with water manually to form a closed environment inside the pump before working, and the internal parts of the pump move again to cause a partial vacuum, so that the external water can be pressed into the inlet of the pump by atmospheric pressure under the pressure difference between inside and outside to complete the suction action. For example, in the past, the water lifting tube commonly used in rural areas must first be added to divert water before the water from the well can be sucked up.
The first method is to directly pour water into the multi-stage pump from the inlet or outlet of the multi-stage pump. At this time, it should be noted that the exhaust valve next to the outlet of the multi-stage pump should be opened for exhaust. Another method is to pump out the air in the multi-stage pump in advance with a vacuum pump, and then start the multi-stage pump after reaching a certain vacuum degree. In this case, the outlet pipe valve needs to be closed.
The suction stroke is related to the power, flow rate and structure of the pump, but limited by the volume and power, it is not easy to make the self-priming suction stroke of a general micro pump higher, because an atmospheric pressure can raise the water pressure to a height of 10.3 meters at most (because an atmospheric pressure ≈ 10.3 meters of water column), so the self-priming suction stroke is about 10.3 meters at most.
Maintenance method of multistage pump
1, check the pump body and pulley for wear and damage, if necessary, should be replaced. Check whether the horizontal multi-stage pump shaft is bent, the degree of journal wear, and whether the shaft end thread is damaged. Check whether the blade on the impeller is broken and whether the shaft hole is seriously worn. Check the wear degree of water seal and bakelite gasket. If the wear degree exceeds the service limit, replace it with a new one. Check the wear of the bearing, the available table to measure the bearing clearance, such as more than 0.10mm, should be replaced with a new bearing.
After the multi-stage pump is taken out, it can be decomposed in sequence. After decomposition, the parts should be cleaned and checked one by one to see if there are defects such as cracks, damage and wear. If there are serious defects, they should be replaced.
3. Repair of water seal and seat: If the water seal is worn and grooved, it can be polished with emery cloth. If it is worn too much, it should be replaced. If there are rough scratches on the water seal seat, it can be repaired with a flat reamer or on a lathe. Replace the new water seal assembly during overhaul.
Horizontal multi-stage pump 4. Welding repair is allowed when the pump body has the following damages: cracks with a length of less than 3Omm and not extending to the bearing seat hole; The flange joined with the cylinder head has a broken part; The oil seal seat hole is damaged. The bending of the horizontal multi-stage pump shaft shall not exceed 0.05mm, otherwise it should be replaced. Damaged impeller blades should be replaced. Horizontal multistage pump shaft aperture wear serious should be replaced or set repair.
4, check whether the multi-stage pump bearing rotation flexibility or abnormal noise, if there is a problem with the bearing, should be replaced.
5. After the multi-stage pump is assembled, turn it by hand, and the pump shaft will not be stuck, and the impeller will not rub with the pump casing. Then check the displacement of the horizontal multi-stage pump. If there is a problem, check the cause and eliminate it. If the horizontal multi-stage pump fails, the coolant will not be able to reach the corresponding place, and its performance will not be effectively exerted, which will affect the working condition of the engine. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the inspection of the horizontal multistage pump.
