The difference between a single-stage pump and a two-stage pump is mainly the number of impellers and their influence on flow and head. Different types of pumps are suitable for different scenarios and needs. In the choice of use, it is necessary to carefully consider according to the actual situation, and choose the most suitable pump type according to the needs. Single-stage pumps and two-stage pumps have their own advantages and disadvantages, and they need to be selected according to actual needs and conditions in use.
1. the concept of single-stage pump and two-stage pump
Single-stage pumps and two-stage pumps are one of the commonly used pump types, and their main difference lies in the number of impellers. Single-stage pumps have only one impeller, while dual-stage pumps have two impellers. In use, the difference between the two pumps is very significant, as shown by the difference in flow and head.
Advantages and disadvantages of 2. single-stage pump and double-stage pump
1. Advantages of single-stage pumps: The structure of single-stage pumps is relatively simple, easy to maintain, and the flow rate is large, and the scope of application is wide. At the same time, the price of single-stage pumps is relatively low and the cost is more controllable.
2. Disadvantages of single-stage pumps: The head of single-stage pumps is relatively small, and water cannot be sent to high-rise buildings and other places that require higher head, so its application scenarios are limited.
3. The advantages of two-stage pump: two-stage pump due to the synergy of two impellers, can improve the head and flow, suitable for a variety of occasions. In addition, the lift of the two-stage pump is relatively high, and the water flow can be sent to a high position.
4. Disadvantages of the two-stage pump: The structure of the two-stage pump is relatively complicated, and it is difficult to maintain. At the same time, the price is much higher than that of the single-stage pump, and the cost is higher.
Application scenarios of 3. single-stage pumps and two-stage pumps
In application scenarios, single-stage pumps are suitable for areas with relatively large flow and relatively small head. For example, industrial production, municipal water supply and drainage, cleaning and transportation, irrigation and other fields. For scenarios with small flow and high head, such as boiler feed water, high-rise buildings, fire protection systems, etc., two-stage pumps are required. The two-stage pump can increase the flow and head through the synergy of the two impellers, so that the water flow can smoothly flow into the higher area.
4. pump maintenance six steps
1, check the pump body and pulley for wear and damage, if necessary, should be replaced. Check whether the water pump shaft is bent, the degree of journal wear, and whether the shaft end thread is damaged. Check whether the blade on the impeller is broken and whether the shaft hole is seriously worn. Check the wear degree of water seal and bakelite gasket. If the wear degree exceeds the service limit, replace it with a new one. Check the wear of the bearing, the available table to measure the bearing clearance, such as more than 0.10mm, should be replaced with a new bearing.
2. After the water pump is taken out, it can be decomposed in sequence. After decomposition, the parts should be cleaned and checked one by one to see if there are defects such as cracks, damage and wear. If there are serious defects, they should be replaced.
3. Repair of water seal and seat: If the water seal is worn and grooved, it can be polished with emery cloth. If it is worn too much, it should be replaced. If there are rough scratches on the water seal seat, it can be repaired with a flat reamer or on a lathe. Replace the new water seal assembly during overhaul.
4. Welding repair is allowed when the pump body has the following damages: the length is within 30mm, and the crack does not extend to the bearing seat hole; The flange joined with the cylinder head has a broken part; The oil seal seat hole is damaged. The bending of the water pump shaft must not exceed 0.05mm, otherwise it should be replaced. Damaged impeller blades should be replaced. Water pump shaft bore serious wear should be replaced or repair the sleeve.
5. Check whether the water pump bearing rotates flexibly or has abnormal noise. If there is any problem with the bearing, it should be replaced.
6. After the water pump is assembled, turn it by hand. The pump shaft should be free of jamming, and the impeller and the pump casing should be free of friction. Then check the water pump displacement. If there is a problem, check the cause and eliminate it. If the water pump fails, the coolant will not be able to reach the corresponding place, and its performance will not be effectively exerted, which will eventually affect the working condition of the engine. Therefore, the inspection of the water pump must be strengthened.
