Product Description
Product Description
IY type single-stage single-suction oil transfer centrifugal pump is designed for conveying non-corrosive liquids and petroleum products free of solid particles with viscosity below 120 cSt. It can also handle clean water or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to clean water. The medium temperature shall not exceed 80℃, and the inlet pressure shall not be higher than 0.8 MPa.

Overview
The IY type single-stage single-suction centrifugal oil pump is an energy-saving pump developed through national joint design, serving as an upgraded replacement for BA type, B type and other single-stage clean water centrifugal pumps. It features a well-arranged hydraulic performance across the full product range, offering wide selection options and easy maintenance. Its efficiency and suction lift have reached the internationally advanced average level.
Structure Description
This pump complies with Chinese National Standard GB5662-85, which is equivalent to International Standard ISO 2858 in terms of marking, performance and dimensions. It mainly consists of pump casing, pump cover, impeller, shaft, wear ring, shaft sleeve and bracket bearing assembly. The pump body and pump cover form the pump working chamber. The impeller, shaft and rolling bearings constitute the rotor assembly. The bracket bearing unit supports the rotor, and the rolling bearings bear radial and axial forces. To balance axial thrust, most impellers are fitted with wear rings on both front and rear sides, and balance holes are arranged on the rear shroud of the impeller. Three types of shaft sealing are available: soft packing seal, mechanical seal and rubber oil seal. The pump is driven by an elastic coupling connected to the motor. Viewed from the drive end, the pump rotates clockwise.
Application
The IY type single-stage single-suction centrifugal oil pump is applicable for delivery of various light oils, as well as clean water and other liquids with similar physical and chemical properties, with medium temperature not exceeding 80℃.
Product Features
1. Designed in accordance with performance and dimensions specified in International Standard ISO 2858, the pump is composed of pump casing, pump cover, impeller, shaft, wear ring, shaft sleeve and bracket bearing assembly.
2. Split at the rear side of the impeller, it adopts the commonly known back pull-out structure. This design facilitates maintenance: there is no need to detach the pump body, suction pipeline, discharge pipeline or motor. Simply remove the intermediate connector of the extended coupling, then the rotor assembly can be pulled out for servicing.
3. The pump body and pump cover form the working chamber. The impeller, shaft and rolling bearings make up the rotor. The bracket bearing assembly supports the rotor, and rolling bearings withstand radial and axial loads.
4. For axial thrust balance, most impellers are equipped with wear rings on both sides and balance holes on the rear shroud. For pumps with minor axial thrust, wear rings and balance holes on the impeller rear side can be omitted.
5. The shaft seal assembly is composed of packing gland, packing ring and packing, to prevent air ingress and excessive liquid leakage. For impellers with balance holes, the packing chamber communicates with the impeller suction port. When a vacuum forms at the suction port, air may easily leak in along the shaft sleeve. Therefore, a packing ring is installed inside the packing chamber. Pressurized liquid from the pump chamber is guided to the packing ring through small holes on the pump cover for sealing. If the impeller has no balance holes, the liquid pressure at the impeller rear side is higher than atmospheric pressure with no air leakage risk, so the packing ring can be dispensed with.
6. A shaft sleeve is mounted where the shaft passes through the packing chamber to protect the shaft from wear. An O-ring is fitted between the shaft sleeve and the shaft to prevent air ingress and liquid leakage along the mating surface.
7. The pump is connected to the motor via an extended elastic coupling. Viewed from the drive end, the pump rotates clockwise.
